Diesel Heaters for Boats

Diesel heaters for boats are the usual way to heat a yacht cabin or narrowboat: they burn the same diesel as the engine and give dry heat that cuts condensation. A small cabin needs about 2kW; a narrowboat or larger yacht 4kW to 5kW.

Boats are damp and salty, so look for stainless exhaust parts and a skin fitting made for marine use, and check whether you need 12V or 24V. Always fit a carbon monoxide alarm aboard.
